Rob Alberts, President, is a local businessman and owner of Middlebury Fitness and Community Investment Counselors. Middlebury Fitness is a full-service fitness and wellness center offering programs for people of all ages and all fitness levels. Community Investment Counselors is an investment firm committed to building long-term financial security for its clients, primarily through fee-based asset allocation programs. He is the past President of United Way of Addison County, and serves as a Governor-appointed Commissioner for the Vermont Housing Finance Agency. Rob was also a high school and college basketball coach for seventeen years. Rob, wife Sarah, and their three children, live in Bridport.
Sherry Klinck, Chair, served on both the Porter Medical Center and Porter Hospital Boards, was a member of Porter Medical Center's Leadership Group, and previously chaired Porter Medical Center’s Auxiliary. Sherry’s lengthy career in education included teaching Special Education. She continues to offer private academic tutoring. She incorporated these talents in her work as Keewaydin Foundation’s Executive Administrator by running a summer reading school for campers. For fun, she and her husband, John, enjoy camping, travel, and their five grandchildren.
Gale Hurd, Secretary, is a community activist who worked for many years in the Addison County State's Attorney's office as an advocate for crime victims. She was a 25-year board member of Addison County Court Diversion & Community Justice Projects and is past president of the Porter Medical Center Auxiliary and of the Vermont School Boards Association. Gale is the former president of Middlebury Festival-on-the-Green, the current assistant treasurer of the Weybridge Congregational Church and in her fourth term on the Weybridge Selectboard. Gale's son, Ethan Fenn, is a lawyer in Burlington and assistant coach of the St. Mike's women's hockey team.
Tamara Chase is an attorney with a solo practice in Middlebury, where she has practiced primarily family law since 1989. In addition to her own practice, Tamara is of counsel at the Burlington law firm of Collins, McMahon and Harris. Tamara has been active on the boards of the Addison County Humane Society and Mary Johnson Children’s Center and is currently serving as president of the John Graham Emergency Shelter. Tamara lives in Cornwall with her husband, Jason, and two sons.
Mark Gleason, a Project Manager in the Office of Facilities Services at Middlebury College since 2002, is involved in planning, design, permitting, and construction of new buildings and major renovations. He is an active member of the Middlebury Congregational Church and Middlebury Amateur Hockey Association. Mr. Gleason holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Princeton University (1988) and a Master of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin (1993).
John Myhre is Vice President of Wealth Management with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. John received his B.A. from Middlebury College in 1978 and his M.S.A. from St. Michael's College in 1985 and has been expanding his Middlebury roots ever since. Prior involvement as a local business owner, Select Board and Planning Commission member, and Chair of both Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center and Porter Medical Center name a few of his civic contributions. John has also advanced local soccer opportunities as current President of the Nordic Soccer Club and co-founder of the Panther Soccer Club. John and his wife, Peg, an R.N. at Middlebury College, live in Weybridge with their two children.
Carrie Wulfman, M.D., is a family doctor employed by Porter Medical Center and the Medical Director of Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. She is the lead physician at Neshobe Family Medicine in Brandon, Vermont, and has a special interest in geriatrics. She lives in Ripton with her husband and four children and enjoys tennis, gardening, and interior design as side interests.
